Days on end.

We have spent DAYS without internet or cable, traveling, in between hotels, in hot weather, cold weather and back and are finally settled in and with internet AND cable! I am finally able to update!

My last update was at Disneyland! We had an absolute blast! I'm so sad it had to end early though! We originally had a 3 day park hopper but decided last minute to leave a day early and spend only two days at Disney and Cali Adventures instead and good thing we did...
We left Wednesday morning last week allowing ourselves for 2 full days to travel. Within 2 hours of traveling we were already into temperatures in the low 20's and snow! By the time we got 100 miles out of flagstaff which is where we were planning to stop for the night we ended up stuck on the I-40 for 6 HOURS in the snow! It wasn't just us though, in our tiny car. There were truckers, cars and all other vehicles stuck. The line up was horrible. We finally were able to get around the truckers once traffic started clearing and the snow storm stopped. At that point we were able to travel 10 mph to get to our new destination which was the closest town to us which was about 30miles away! Holy cow, was that not the longest drive ever! Our last 15 miles though, thankfully a snow plow came through which cleared the roads enough to allow us up to 35 mph. We got into an old beat up town, checked into a motel that seriously looked as though it should be featured in a horror movie and crashed. It was well after 1am when we got in.
Day two of traveling was much easier. We got into Flagstaff for breakfast and made it all the way into New Mexico and up through Alberquerque and into a small town about 100 miles out of the Colorado border called Las Vegas. This hotel was much nicer and thankfully in a better part of town.
Our final day we got up before sunrise and started our final 300 mile trek! Super easy. Got into Pueblo by 9:30am which is where we picked up our new puppy Dutch and then headed up to Colorado Springs where our first stop was the real estate company! We signed the lease and got to our new home...

WE LOVE IT! It's beautiful and quite cozy! Our first night we realized it's cold and that the heater is definitely a must at night. Fortunately the day times are nice enough that the sun warms our home and no electricity needs to be used! I'm soooo worried about a huge electric bill! Lol I'm sure after adjusting from Hawaii weather to Colorado snow we'll be a-o-k and eventually won't have to use the heater at night. After all, we don't use it when we visit Karls parents! They don't even have heater and we survive just fine! Lol

Karl starts work in less then a week. Not looking forward to it because he's been home alot with Russ and I for the last almost 2 months. It's been nice having the help, especially since Russ has entered into his horrible toddler rebellion stage! But it'll be nice to be able to spend some mommy/russ time too! I love my little man (:
Addisyn is doing well...I haven't had a check up in 4 weeks but I've been assigned here in Colorado and will get a check up soon! Russ' one year appointment is set up for the Monday after his birthday and then it's off to a hair cut! He has extremely long hair and I swear it grows an inch a day! Lol

Anyways, life has been treating us well our first few days here in Colorado and all our news has been basic! I look forward to exciting things happening in the next few weeks/months!!! Talk to you soon!!!
