Today we are going to finish packing our things and then finish cleaning. There isn't much left, cleaning the "snow" off the windows from Christmas, oven and refrigerator need to be cleaned and of course a quick wipe down of the walls to erase the red dirt that's accumulated over the last couple years. Red dirt seriously tracks you everywhere and the fact that we live across from pineapple fields has made this worse over the years. Our white car was always caked in red dirt no matter how often we washed it (which wasn't often in the end because it was just pointless). The dust is ridiculous as well so there is always a constant tinge on everything you own!
Will I miss this? No
But will I miss this.....
YES!
The breath taking views. The endless and mysterious oceans. The rainforest and the lava. Yes. I have lived in a place that is filled with the kind of beauty only so many are lucky to encounter. I've spent many days watching whales breech the water with their young near by, dolphins swim and dance through the water, fish you only see in books...
I've spent so much time complaining about this place that I've truly forgotten the real beauty behind the snaughty army wives and rude tourists. I don't feel it's too late for me to remember these things though because I've had enough time to experience something different. And as much as I love the BEAUTY here, I am ready for something more. I want to be able to jump in my car and drive home. I want fall/winter/spring AND summer! And I want to escape the crazy ass asian tourists (no offense to anyone) but they are nuts here! I'm ready to move on.
So tonight we say goodbye to our home, we move to the "city" by the airport and will finally have a BED! OMG, yes a bed! Oh how I've been waiting for you for so long. Okay so not really, it just seems this way. There will be carpet and warm blankets and towels! YAY. I couldn't be more excited.
Anyways, we only have a few minutes left before we have to head out and get some errands done before we head to a friends super bowl party. I'm yet again craving salad so we're gonna have to make a stop to get me a salad from somewhere!
Until next time my friends.
